Position Summary

The Driver Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading driver hiring initiatives from initial outreach through successful onboarding. You will develop recruitment campaigns, manage candidate pipelines, coordinate hiring activities, and work closely with operations leaders to ensure driver staffing goals are consistently met.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, recruiting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities of a Driver Recruitment Manager:

Driver Sourcing & Recruitment

• Develop recruiting strategies focused on attracting qualified driver candidates
• Create and manage recruitment campaigns across digital platforms and local markets
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking events, and community partnerships
• Screen applications and conduct candidate interviews
• Evaluate candidates based on qualifications, driving history, professionalism, and cultural fit
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospective drivers for current and future hiring needs
• Promote the benefits and opportunities available through a driving career with zTrip

Hiring & Onboarding Coordination

• Guide driver candidates through every stage of the hiring process
• Coordinate background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, and employment verification
• Ensure candidates complete all required onboarding documentation and compliance requirements
• Schedule orientation sessions and training programs
• Communicate regularly with candidates to provide updates and support
• Create a positive onboarding experience that encourages long-term success and retention

Community Outreach & Talent Pipeline Development

• Build relationships with workforce agencies, driving schools, community organizations, and employment programs
• Represent zTrip at job fairs, recruiting events, career expos, and community outreach initiatives
• Develop referral programs that generate qualified driver leads
• Strengthen zTrip's reputation as an employer of choice within the transportation industry
• Identify new recruiting channels to expand candidate reach

Workforce Planning & Performance Management

• Partner with operations leaders to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities
• Forecast driver recruitment needs based on business growth and market demands
• Track recruitment metrics, hiring activity, and onboarding completion rates
• Analyze recruiting performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support retention efforts by monitoring new-hire engagement and success

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment databases
• Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technology effectively
• Generate recruitment reports and hiring updates for leadership
• Ensure all hiring activities are documented and compliant with company policies
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the recruitment process

Qualifications of a Driver Recruitment Manager:

Desired Experience

• Experience in recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, workforce development, human resources, or related fields
• Previous experience recruiting drivers, transportation professionals, or high-volume workforce positions preferred
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and results-driven approach to recruiting
• Valid driver's license preferred
